The VA General Assembly’s Business Development Caucus

Invites you to a regional business town hall for the purpose of identifying pro-business legislation to be introduced in the 2015 session of the General Assembly.

The bi-partisan Business Development Caucus was founded in 2012 by business owner/legislators seeking to improve the business climate in Virginia. Membership includes legislators from both chambers and political parties. Its mission is to identify and draft legislation aimed at promoting growth and success among Virginia businesses, large and small.

Conference participants will include BDC member legislators from across the Commonwealth, representatives of the VA Chamber of Commerce, National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), regional Chambers and businesses.

Specifically, we are asking participants:

1. What existing Virginia law or regulation deters business growth in your business, industry or region?
2. What new Legislative Action would facilitate growth in your business, industry or region?

Business input during the 2012 & 2013 Town-Hall Series initiated 29 bills in the 2013/14 sessions, many of which are now law.
